LG Officially announces the L Series II


LG LogoLG has officially announced the L Series II which includes the LG Optimus L3 II, LG Optimus L5 II and the LG Optimus L7 II. LG says the new L Series II line “embodies the beauty of the first L Series but with a  more refined touch”. The new series adds new design elements including a Seamless Layout, Laser Cut Contour, Radiant Rear Design and Smart LED Lighting on the home button.

The LG Optimus L3 II is an entry level smartphone which features a 3.2 inch touch display, microSD storage, a 5 megapixel camera, a 1540 mAh battery and is powered by a 1GHz processor.

The LG Optimus L5 II features a 4.0 inch WVGA touch display, microSD storage, a primary camera for photos, a secondary camera for video calls, and a 1700 mAh battery.

Meanwhile the LG Optimus L7 II features a 4.3 inch IPS WVGA touch display, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel primary camera, a secondary 0.3 megapixel camera for video calls, and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM.

The dual-SIM LG Optimus L7 II is expected to launch in Russia this week. This device will also feature QSlide which is the multitasking feature that allows you to take two apps, make one translucent while viewing the other.

This feature is already available on the LG Optimus G and proven to be a great way to multitask. For example if you receive an email while you are watching a movie, you can fade the movie into the background and respond to the email and then fade the email back into your background and return to your movie

By evolving the sophisticated style and premium features of the original Optimus L Series, its sequel is expected to continue the popularity of the L Series around the world."

All three handsets feature optional dual-SIM which allows you to install to SIM cards and have two active lines and they run . The three devices will also have the following features:
  • QuickMemo – which lets you use your finger to write or draw on the screen and share it with your friends.
  • QuickSend – which allows you to assign a specific application to a button to help quickly start up that application. For example you can assign you camera, browser or music player to the button.
  • Safety Care – which allows you to setup Emergency Call Forwarding, Phone Non-Usage Notice and My Location Notice to allow a loved one to contacted in case of an emergency.
