Google releases Android 4.2.2 software update for Nexus devices

We have been hearing about Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for some time now, and it looks like Google is now rolling out the update for their Nexus devices. That means you will be receiving the latest version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on your Google Nexus 4, Google Nexus 10, Google Nexus 7 and Google Galaxy Nexus.

Unfortunately the update doesn’t seem to have appeared for Nexus 4 users just yet while other Nexus users are reporting that they are receiving the update. If you own a Nexus device head over to Settings > About phone/tablet > Software updates and check if the update is available for you.

The update which is being rolled out OTA (over-the-air) carriers build JDQ39 and is around 47.6 MB in size. The update is expected to fix a Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming issue from Android 4.2 which Google promised to fix after the Android 4.2.1 update. Make sure your device is charged and you are connected to Wi-Fi before you start downloading.

Have you received the Android 4.2.2 software update on your Nexus device? Leave us a comment below if you have.
