Nokia Lumia 920 - Hands On, Scratch Test and OIS Demo

The Nokia Lumia 920 has all the ingredients to be successful. It has a large 4.5 inch super sensitive touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera with a Carl Ziess Lens which implements Optical Image Stabilization to reduce shakiness in photos and improve low light photography and a beautiful polycarbonate shell in an array of colors which leaves your device looking like new even after months of usage and scratches.

Check out the following videos which demonstrate some of these features:

First we have a detailed hands on with the device which demonstrates the Windows Phone interface like never before. We see the usage scenarios for NFC tags and the advantage for the PureMotion HD+ display for text clarity.

Next we see the polycarbonate shell of the Lumia 920 being put through severe hardships like being ragged across a desk and rubbed against coins – Things which may very well happen in our day to day use. All three color variants which are tested, don’t show any signs of visible damage.

The last test shows off OIS which protects the captured image from shaky hands. Nokia has implemented a lens with a suspension mechanism which avoids shakiness when capturing photos and videos.
The Nokia Lumia 920 is reported to go on sale in the US on November 4th, will you be getting one?
