The Netflix apps for iOS and Android were recently updated with a new interface. But the apps have a hidden feature which allow you to control your PlayStation 3 (PS3) console using your Netflix app as a remote.
All you need to do is ensure that the PS3 and the device with the Netflix app are on the same local network and you will receive the option to choose where to play a video. While the video is playing you can pause, stop or seek to a specific point in the video. You can even change the audio or subtitles, choose a different episode or switch the videos.

It seems like the app can currently only be used as a PS3 remote control, so XBox 360 users are out of luck for now.
