Motorola Droid 4 will receive Android 4.0 ICS Update, change-log now available
Verizon has approved the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) software update for the Motorola Droid 4. It was just last week that a select group of testers got a chance to savor the Ice Cream Sandwich update on their devices through a soak test and seeing that Verizon has provided a change-log we figure that the test has been successful and we can expect the ICS update to roll out in the coming week or so.
The software update brings all the features you would expect with Android Ice Cream Sandwich including the security enhancements and bug fixes. The device will also receive the latest version of Motorola’s MotoBlur UI which has come a long way and can be quite useful.
The Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich for Motorola Droid 4 change-log is as follows:
The Droid 4 joins the HTC Thunderbolt and the HTC Droid Incredible 2 which are also expected to receive their ICS updates this month. Its great to see the flagship handsets get Android 4.0, this will let users settle into their new version of Android before they start hoping for the newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
