Nokia has now started rolling out the Meego 1.3 update for the Nokia N9. The update is already available in certain locations and should appear in more locations in the coming weeks.
The update is 204.8MB in size and will update your software to version 40.2012.21-3.001.19.
The update comes as bit of a surprise given Nokia’s current situation with layoffs. The development team was reported to be working on the Meego PR1.4 update, but we aren't sure if we will see many more updates on the platform given Nokia’s focus is now set prominently on Windows Phone.
The Nokia N9 was the only publicly released handset from the company which runs Meego other than it’s (developer only) sibling the Nokia N950. The N9 features a 3.9 inch touchscreen, an 8 megapixel camera with support for HD video capture,NFC and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM.
