It looks like the buttery smooth Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was just what manufacturers were waiting for, as HTC has begun rolling out Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich for the aging HTC Incredible S. The update is 250MB in size and will be offered OTA (over-the-air) – Make sure you are connected to your WiFi to avoid straining your data plan.
The ICS update will include the HTC Sense 3.6 UI, which may not be the same as the HTC Sense 4.0 which is available on the HTC One X, but would still be warmly welcome.
The HTC Incredible S is the international variant of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 on Verizon. We are not certain if would mean that the U.S. sibling would also receive ICS. But given carriers stance on providing updates for old phones, we shouldn't be too hopeful.
