The Samsung Omnia W is now receiving the Windows Phone Tango update. You can obtain the update by connecting your device to your computers using Zune for Mac or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac. The update brings a few new features including, the ability to add media files in MMS, export and import contacts to and from the phone and other performance and stability improvements.
Users who are looking for the Internet Sharing feature Nokia promised for their Lumia device lineup will be disappointed, as Samsung looks to have decided not to include it.
The Samsung Omnia W features a 3.7 inch touch display, 5 megpixel camera, 8GB of internal storage and is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM.
Anyone interested in this device should probably hold out for upcoming Samsung handsets this fall which will feature Windows Phone 8.
