HTC Amaze 4G for T-Mobile receives Android 4.0.3 ICS software update


The for T-Mobile is now receiving the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich (2.14.531.3710RD) update which includes HTC Sense 3.6 UI.

News of Android ICS making its way to the Amaze 4G was first confirmed by HTC in November last year. Later a leaked T-Mobile document stated that the latest version of Android would find its way to the handset on June 16th. While the update has been delayed by a few days, users will be glad that ICS has found its way to their devices.




Owners of the HTC Sensation 4G will be prompted to update their devices through a notification. You can also manually check for the update availability through

Settings > About Phone > HTC Software Updates > Check

Once you are notified of the update availability you can get it OTA or download it manually from the HTC by following the provided instructions

New features in Android 4.0.3 for the HTC Amaze 4G include

The update will also feature improved text input and spell checking along with an improved menu structure
Before updating please makes sure you are running the stock version of Android 2.3.4 and that your device is not rooted. Also make sure that your battery has at least 50% of battery life.
