Will the Asus Transformer Prime ship with Honeycomb instead of ICS ?

The Asus Transformer Prime is the upcoming successor to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. It is expected to be the first quad core tablet featuring NVidia's Tegra 3 chipset. The device was also set to feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) when it launched.

But a picture of the device posted by Asus Germany reveals the Transformer Prime running Honeycomb instead. So it seams like ICS may be released as an update to the device.

The Transformer Prime is said to feature a 10-inch display and optional keyboard dock accessory like it's predecessor. But will have a new sleeker metallic frame.

Ice Cream Sandwich should be available to the Transformer Prime and the Eee Pad Transformer after the release of the Asus Padfone which is due sometime early 2012.
