The LG Optimus 3D which was launched with Android 2.2 Froyo on board and it is finally getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The update is version 21a and the Android version 2.3.5 will be running on the handset.
The Optimus 3D features a 4.3-inch display, dual 5MP cameras for 3D capture, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor.
The update will bring all the goodies which come with Gingerbread including 21Mbps HSPA+ support, 2D and 3D video editor, improved video quality and improved performance in the gallery application.
The update is currently being rolled out in the UK and around Europe through the LG updater. The OTA version should be rolling out soon as well.
There is still no news when it's U.S. counterpart the LG Thrill 4G will be receive the Android Gingerbread update yet. But we will keep you posted as soon as the update is made available.
