Samsung Galaxy S Series boasts sales figures

Samsung continues its dominance in the Android world, boasting 30 million combined sales of it's Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S II. Out of these numbers 10 million belong to the Galaxy S II which just recently debuted in the U.S.

It isn't just the iPhone that sets the standards for smartphones these days, with it's huge 4 inch Super AMOLED displays the Galaxy S Series pushed all it's Android counterparts to churn out quality handsets.

"Since its launch only five months ago, Galaxy SII has seen tremendous sales success and garnered enthusiastic reviews from consumers and mobile industry watchers across the globe. This is in addition to the continued sales momentum behind Galaxy S, which we launched at Mobile World Congress 2010 as continues to be a run-away success with consumers," said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business.

With the Apple iPhone 4S smashing it's own records with 1 million pre-orders on the first day and over 4 million sales within the 4 days of availability it will be interesting to see if the iPhone will surpass the Galaxy S sales.
