The announcement of the Amazon Kindle Fire has it's competitors reeling and the HTC Flyer was one of the tablets which received a price cut from $499 down to $299. Five days since that reduction Best Buy announced another price cut, bringing the Flyer down to just $99. The same cost of the HP Playbook which hasn't been heard of since.
Well it turns out it was all a big mistake, and Best Buy has since released a statement that they had made a mistake with the pricing which remains at $299. It may not be $99 but its still a great price. Compared to the Fire you will get access to the Google App Suite and the two cameras and more storage. Android tablets also have access to many of the Amazon services so you don't lose out on much.
The HTC Flyer features a 7 inch display, 5MP camera in the rear, 1.3MP camera in the front, 16GB storage and its powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
