(1955 - 2011) Steve Jobs - Remembering an iCon

Steve Jobs, The co-founder of Apple has passed away today at the age of 56. He has led Apple to become the world's leading tech company and revolutionized mobile devices.

The last time we saw Jobs was during the iPad 2 launch, during which he was on medical leave of absence but made an appearance at the media event to promote Apple second generation tablet.

Steve resigned from his post as Apple's CEO in August 2011 but remained as the chairman of the company's board until his death.

Apple's Board of Directors released a statement, which read:
" We are deeply saddened o announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.
Steve's brilliance  passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.
His great love was his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.
Apple's website hosts a memorial with an email address which allows you to send your condolences and thoughts about Steve Jobs.

Apple may have lost a leader, but Steve Jobs has left behind a legacy which will live on forever. Apple will be forever remembered for the revolution in mobile technology which sparked off from the original iPhone.

One thing I would like to leave with anyone who reads this post is something that Steve Jobs said during his last keynote in March.
“It’s in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough — it’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the result that makes our heart sing and nowhere is that more true than in these post-PC devices.”
- Steve Jobs
Apple is Steve Jobs, and Steve Jobs is Apple. The company itself is a part of Jobs and so he will live on through Apple. So we hope to see what started with the iPhone in 2007 continue through the years to come.
