HTC Flyer will cost $300 on Oct 6th

The HTC Flyer is yet another device which is feeling the strain of the Amazon Kindle Fire. Best Buy will be reducing the price of the 7 inch tablet to $299.99 on October 6th.

While the information has still not been publicly released sources claim that the deal is set and ad materials have been prepared. The drop could also be due to the upcoming wide availability of the company's 10 inch HTC Jetstream, which is now available through AT&T.

Whatever the case is, it is good to see the 7 inch tablet prices drop. Even though the Flyer costs $100 more than the Kindle Fire, having full access to Android's market and Google's app suite may edge this device as a better tablet choice.
