Windows Phone Mango will be released on 1 September

The much anticipated Windows Phone Mango which was released to manufacturing a couple of weeks ago  will start rolling out commercially on September 1, according to reports from multiple sources.

Windows Phone Mango was first announced at the MWC in February in Barcelona. Previously Microsoft reported that their new Windows Phone update which features over 500 new updates will find it's way to retailers in the fall, but it looks like Microsoft is working hard at getting a step ahead of Apple and Google, who are both planning major releases of their mobile operating system in September and October respectively.

IFA - Europe's largest consumer electronics show which will be held in Berlin between the 2-7 September with companies like Samsung, Acer and LG in attendance could also host the launch of some brand new Mango powered devices. Especially since European market is much better for Windows Phone sales.

Additionally the Nokia World event which is scheduled for October will probably herald the release of their Windows Phone.

Do you think the Windows Phone Mango release will challenge the Apple and Google offerings ? Leave your comments below:
