HP TouchPad - One last batch coming

HP has stated that it will release one last batch of HP TouchPad tablets to try and meet the unfulfilled high demand for the devices following the fire sale which brought down the prices as low as $99. There is also news of HP working on an update to WebOS for the TouchPad which is a little strange considering that the device has been cancelled.

It is not clear why HP is planning to manufacture more devices since we assume they will be manufactured at a loss to the company.

This news was clarified by HP's spoke's person Mark Budgel : " Despite announcing the end to manufacturing WebOS hardware, we have decided to produce one last run of TouchPads to meet unfulfilled demand. We don't know exactly when these units will be available or how many we'll get, and we can;t promise enough for everyone. We do know that it will be at least a few weeks before you can purchase".

HP has also been sending statements to those who requested the devices that they will be informed about availability in the coming weeks.
