Windows Phone "Mango" update to be previewed at VIP event
Microsoft has announced that they will preview their upcoming "Mango" update for Windows Phone 7 for analysts and members of the media at a VIP event in New York on May 24.
The developer tools for Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) are also expected to be released during this event.
This major update to the Windows Phone mobile operating system promises many new features including a beta marketplace application, turn-by-turn navigation, integrated Bing Audio and Video search, SMS dictation and voice updates, HTML-5 supported mobile IE9, third party app multi tasking, built in support for Twitter and Windows Live Messenger.
As you can see Microsoft has a whole list of updates planned to follow their previous NoDo update which featured copy/paste. Do you think this brings Windows Phone devices a step closer to compete against Android and iOS? Leave you thoughts below.
