Apple iOS 4.3 Beta 01 released

Apple has released iOS 4.3 beta 01 to developers sign up for the iOS developer program. It brings a lot of updates and enhancements to the iPhone and the iPad.

With the eminent release of the iPhone for Verizon, which will feature iOS 4.2.5 and personal hotspot capability, the GSM iPhone users will be happy to know they may be getting the same with iOS 4.3.

The iPad is being treated to various useful muti-touch gestures with this release.

The following list of updates have been uncovered thus far in this beta release:

  • Personal WiFi hotspot capability
  • [iPad] Multi touch gestures for quick access to homescreen, multi tasking bar or the app scrolling.
  • [iPad] Configurable iPad slide switch
  • [iPad] fullscreen iAd banners
  • New facetime icon
  • Airplay support for third party apps
The GSM iPhone 4 will have the mobile hotspot capability, but that doesnt mean that AT&T will be offering it. The AT&T customers will just have to wait and see if their devices will have access to this when the update is released.

The iPad looks to be getting the biggest benefits out of iOS 4.3 all a step towards the eminent release of the iPad 2. Take a look at the multi-touch gestures demonstrated in the video below:
