Black iPad mini also in short supply? shipments delayed

It seams like the Apple iPad mini continues to be a success. Yesterday we reported that the initial stock of the 16GB white variant were sold out as Apple placed a two week delay on the model. At the time the black model seamed un-affected, but it turns out that the 16GB of the black variant has also been set a two-week shipment delay.

Following a successful launch of the Apple iPhone 5, it looks like Apple is set to replicate that success with the iPad mini. This will be an achievement the company will surely bring up at their next media event.

Currently on the 16GB variant has been delayed while the more expensive models are still set for delivery on November 2nd. This isn't too surprising, as it has been a common trend for the low capacity models to be the first to be sold. You could also consider waiting until November 2nd and head over to an Apple Store near you to get the device.  Meanwhile the cellular variant with 4G LTE connectivity will only be available in mid November.

Will Apple see market dominance with yet another product? Or do you think the products being sold out our a result of Apple under estimating the demand for a smaller tablet? Share your thoughts below.
