The Alcatel One Touch Star is one of the handsets the company showcased at the ongoing MWC offers a reasonable set of specifications for a mid-range smartphone. The device features a 4.0 inches WVGA AMOLED display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded though microSD, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, a secondary camera for video calls, and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM.The handset runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which runs fluidly with the onboard hardware and has a 1500mAh battery which should last you through the day. Unfortunately the camera quality isn't among the best of its class and performs slower than you would expect it to.
Despite having a plastic build and feeling hefty it is important to note that this is meant to please someone's first entry into the smartphone world. Check out the One Touch Star in action in the following hands on video.
