Windows 10 for phones reportedly being tested within Microsoft

Windows 10

When Microsoft introduced Windows 10, they stated that the next version of Windows would run across all devices and form factors including Windows Phones. While PC users can now try out the Windows 10 Technical Preview, there was no news about Windows 10 for phones, until now.

According to Nawzil, a reliable source for Microsoft news, there are three builds of Windows being tested on phones internally at Microsoft. Two of these builds are updates for Windows Phone 8.1, but the third build is supposedly Windows 10 for phones. Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 has already begun rolling out to bring Cortana to more regions. Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 is expected to bring Cortana to more regions, as well as adding a data toggle in the Action Center, allow for sortable settings, and adding support for new hardware.

Unfortunately not much is known about Windows 10 for phones. We expect the platform to have even more in common with PCs and will hopefully open the door to more apps for the Windows platform as a whole. Leave us a comment and let us know what you expect most form Windows 10 for phones.
