HTC was quick to confirm that they will be releasing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update within 90 days of receiving the final code from Google. Now the company has announced that they have receive the code and have started working on the update for the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7.
Since today is November 3, we could expect both of HTC's top smartphones will be treated to Android Lollipop in early February 2015 or so. HTC is expected to release the next version of Android with a new version of its Sense UI, but based on recent reports, the company may release Lollipop with Sense 6, leaving Sense 7 to be released at a later date.
HTC said that details regarding Lollipop updates for other handsets will be announced soon. We expected devices like the HTC One mini, HTC One max and other newer handsets will more than likely be treated to Android 5.0 sometime next year.
