The Microsoft Band was released yesterday as the company's first fitness tracking wearable which runs on the cloud based Microsoft Health platform. The Microsoft Health app was also released for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, and now the company has released the Microsoft Band Sync app for Windows and Mac.

The Microsoft Band Sync app for Windows seamlessly syncs your Band to the cloud with the same account that you use from your phone companion app:
- Works on Windows 7, Windows 8 Pro (and above) and OS X 10.9 or later
- Sync faster than with your phone while your device is charging over USB.
- Get updates and restore the software on your Band.
The Microsoft Band comes with 10 sensors, a color display and Cortana integration for Windows Phone users. You can download the companion apps for Windows Phone, Android or iOS, from here.
