Yesterday we saw Microsoft announce their first fitness tracking wearable device, the Microsoft Band. This cross platform accessory includes a 10 different sensors including a heart rate monitor, UV sensor and GPS along with Cortana integration for Windows Phone users. The Microsoft Band runs on the cloud-based Microsoft Health platform, which analyses data gathered from band and provides insights via an intelligence engine. Users can pair the band with their smartphones and Microsoft Health apps are available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms.
