HTC has responded to several questions on Twitter regarding its Android 5.0 Lollipop update plans. While the new version of Google's mobile operating system was officially unveiled back in June, its premier was yesterday with the launch of the Google Nexus 6 and the HTC built Google Nexus 9.
With many of HTC's fans eager to find out when their beloved devices will be treated to Android Lollipop, HTC was able to officially confirm three of their devices set to receive the Android 5.0 update.
- HTC One (M7) - Within 90 days of receiving the source code
- HTC One M8 - Within 90 days of receiving the source code
- HTC One mini - Update Coming, Schedule TBA
- HTC One mini 2 - Update Coming, Schedule TBA
HTC went on to say that it will soon release a complete list of devices which will be compatible with the update. We expect that the recently announced HTC Desire EYE and other new handsets from HTC will also be treated to Lollipop. Hopefully the HTC One Max wont be forgotten either.
