Alcatel POP 2 officially announced as the first Windows Phone with a 64-bit processor

Alcatel POP 2 for Windows

Alcatel has announced yet another device named the Alcatel POP 2. However this time, it is running Windows Phone 8.1 instead of Android. Just like HTC released the HTC One M8 for Windows Phone, Alcatel has released their own Alcatel POP 2 for Windows at IFA 2014.

The Alcatel POP 2 features a 4.5 inch touch display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 4 megapixel rear camera, a 0.3 megapixel front camera, a 2000mAh battery and a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM. This means the Alcatel POP 2 is the first Windows Phone model with a 64-bit processor. The handset also has a powerful Adreno 306 GPU taking care of your gaming needs.

The device will be offered in white, blue, purple, green, red and yellow, and is priced at an affordable $154 USD. A Dual SIM model is also available for those who need one.
