Motorola is giving its fans an opportunity to win one of 20 Motorola Moto 360 smartwatches in a new contest. In order to enter you have to be a at least 18, a resident of the United States, have a GMail account and have Yo for Android installed on your smartphone or tablet.
Once you have the app installed on your Android device, Add Motorola as a contact on Yo messenger and send "Yo" to the manufacturer.
The contest started on Wednesday and it is set to end at 3.01PM Central Time (4.01PM Eastern) so get messaging as soon as you can if you want to get your hands on one of these beautifully crafted smartwatches from Motorola. About 30 minutes after the contest ends, Motorola will pick the 20 winners. The lucky 20 will be notified at around 4:00PM Central Time today.
Yo for Android considers itself a "single-tap zero character communication tool", which means that you are expected to handle any situation by sending out the word "Yo". You can download the app directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the following link.
Interestingly the contest also alludes to the fact that the Moto 360 may be priced at $249 in the contest rules. The smart wearable device is expected to be officially introduced next week at the IFA conference in Berlin.

[UPDATE] [6:20PM] Well the contest is now over... But it looks like things didn't go as planned for Motorola.. Once the contest ended, 20 lucky winners were contacted through Yo regarding their price... But it turned out that more than 20 users were shown a message saying "Yo! You won a Moto 360!" But, once they put an email address into the form, users were then greeted with a more somber message saying, "Yo, unfortunately all Moto 360 watches have been claimed..." If you check on Twitter, you'll find that far more than 20 users were shown this message.
Did you receive a false message that you won a Moto 360 ? Or were you one of the twenty lucky winners? In any case please leave us a comment and let us know. Motorola is claiming that they "paid Yo to run the promotion" and that users will have to contact Yo to get confirmation before they can submit their claim to Motorola.
