According to HTC's Mo Versi, the Android 4.4.3 update is the last KitKat update before the company starts to focus on the Android L Release for their flagship smartphone. In case you are wondering why the One M8 did not receive the Android 4.4.4 update which has been rolling out to the Nexus and Google Play devices, the company has stated that they have managed to include the security fixes found on the 4.4.4 release into their Android 4.4.3 update.
Besides the inclusion of the Android 4.4.3 build, there are various security fixes and performance enhancements to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and network connectivity. According to the changelist, the camera is getting an update and "Image Match" is coming to the Gallery. It also adds "Power History" to the Settings page, and there is an update to the HTC Sync Manager. The update also optimizes BoomSound, Extreme Power Saving Mode, Motion launch and Quick Setting.
