Generally Hulu Plus for Android users require a monthly subscription if they want to watch their favorite shows (and older movies) on their mobile devices. The good news is that this is about to change, as a new update is rolling out that allows folks to watch a fair amount of content for absolutely free.

Most of the content available on your desktop should also be available on mobile devices, but Hulu says there are a few exceptions. Unfortunately they have not detailed what these exceptions are. This is a huge move from Hulu, and we are curious to see if this transitions to other platforms and devices.
We are also curious to know if current Hulu Plus subscribers will consider keeping their monthly subscription now that they can watch a lot of that content for free. In any case, this move will lead to more people using Hulu on their Android devices.
