Its a little frustrating for T-Mobile customers, given that the global version of Xperia Z is already receiving Android 4.4 KitKat. But its still better than being stuck on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in any case. Even though T-Mobile's support page does not confirm Android 4.3, you can expect all the new features from Google along with option to do a master reset using the hardware keys and various improvements.
The update is being pushed OTA (over-the-air) and you will be able to download and install it once you get the OTA alert. Since such updates are usually rolled out in phases, it may be a couple of days before you will be able to install the update. If you dont want to wait for the OTA, you could use Sony's desktop companion software to manually install the update. It's pretty hefty, clocking in at 312MB.
