Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha - Video Review

Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha

The (also known as the Idol α) is an Android smartphone which features an outstanding design with a sleek body outfitted with translucent strips of plastic on the top and bottom. It is a great choice for someone looking for a stylish device that doesn't empty your bank account.

Besides its design, the Idol Alpha is a decent mid-range phone. It features a 4.7 inch display with a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, a 13MP rear camera and a quad-core MediaTek processor. It lacks LTE connectivity and expandable storage, but those are tradeoffs you will have to live with in favor of its more affordable price.

Sadly Alcatel's idea of affordability wont please everyone. The Idol Alpha is priced at over $500 (€379) which will buy you a decent phone like the Samsung Galaxy S4 or event the LG G2. Both are much better all-around phones!

While the Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha is still a beautifully crafted device, it would have been a much more suitable purchase if it were priced better.
