HTC One (M7) Unlocked and Developer Editions receive Sense 6 update

HTC One

While the HTC One (M7) may have received the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat, not all variants of the device have received the latest version of HTC's custom interface, Sense. Now HTC is rolling out the Sense 6 user interface to unlocked and developer editions of the HTC One.

In some ways, this will be a bigger change for users than the previous update to Android 4.4. The UI will get an overhaul, and a number of new features will be added to the HTC One. You can learn more about the Sense 6 user interface by following the source link at the bottom of the page, or through the following link.

HTC Sense 6.0 - Here's Whats New
HTC Sense is the custom user interface used by the company on their Android devices. HTC says it has redesigned Sense "from the ground up" for this 2014 edition, but what's really new? Here are the top new features and tweaks in the new HTC Sense 6 software.

The update which brings version 5.11.1540.9 is around 667.15MB in size, and it might take a long time to arrive on the US carrier variants. Still, it's nice to see HTC doing what it can to keep old devices relevant. Keep in mind this is only for the unlocked and developer models right now.
