HTC One (M7) for T-Mobile receives Sense 6 update

HTC One
The HTC One (M7) on T-Mobile is now receiving a software update which brings the latest (sixth-sense) version of the company's Sense custom interface for Android. Sense 6 is the version of the HTC interface that debuted on the HTC One M8, and since it's being passed down to the original HTC One, and is reportedly headed to devices like the One Mini and One Max at some point.

A couple of days ago, we reported that the Sense 6 update was being pushed to the unlocked and developer editions of the HTC One. Changes are mostly cosmetic, with icons that are flattened and menus that are streamlined compared to 5.5. HTC's BlinkFeed, a Flipboard-style app that's given pride of place on the homescreen, is a bit cleaner thanks to the loss of an unnecessary weather widget, and it can be removed like any of the other homescreens on the Sense launcher. Since the original HTC One is already running the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat, the Android version remains unchanged. However the new software which brings  the 4.19.531.10 version number is still  a whopping 695MB in size.

The OTA update will be pushed out in stages, so it may be awhile before it arrives on your device. Make sure you are running the stock version of your OS on your device to ensure that the update installs without failing.
