Sony Xperia Z2 receives an update with performance and stability improvements



Sony Xperia Z2The Sony Xperia Z2 is now receiving a software update (version 17.1.A.2.55) with brings a number of notable tweaks and improvements to the flagship smartphone. The handset is already running Android 4.4 KitKat, so the Android version will remain the same.

The update is being rolled out OTA (over-the-air) and in phases. However it has not been released to all regions yet, so it maybe awhile before it is available on your device. When you do receive the OTA notification you should be able to initiate the update.

The full changelog of the Sony Xperia Z2 update follows:
  • Improved camera performance & function with faster start time and better auto focus
  • Enhanced in-call audio with fine tuned noise cancellation
  • Improved FM radio function
  • Graphics improvements with smoother scrolling and image movement
  • Improved stability with the latest bug fixes and enhancements
