Leaked screenshot reveals possible Android redesign

Recently, we have seen several images claiming to represent the next version of Android. All of those images have shown Android taking flatter visuals. Now according to a newly leaked screenshot, it looks like the icons on the next version of Android may also step away from their silhouette style layouts in favor of a web icon inspired designs.

Its important to note that Google is reportedly still in the design process with this icons, and it is very likely that they may be changed before they are finalized for launch.

In any case it looks like we will get a fairly massive upgrade to the Android look if this does make its way to the next version of Android. Inside the company, this new Android style is allegedly referred to as ‘Moonshine’. Its key characteristics include the long hard shadows of icons and the generally more contrasted colors used throughout.

Right below, can can see a breakdown of the new icons for: Play Music, Books, Movies, and Games, alongside Google+, Calendar, People, Chrome, YouTube, Maps, Gmail, Hangouts, Camera, and the Play Store apps.
