Nokia goes green on Facebook, likely teasing its Android phone

Nokia Facebook page has changed to the color green, without any explanation. Nokia's Facebook fans will likely remember that the Nokia Logo was previously blue. Given that it is Valentine's day, one would expect the logo to turn red, so why green? Could this have anything to do with the fact that the Android logo is also green

Not too long ago, Nokia sent out an invitation for its MWC press event, which also happened to have a green background. We have also heard several rumors of the Nokia X (Normandy) which is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress on February 24.

The Nokia X is expected to be an entry level device with a 4 inch WVGA display 4GB of expandable storage, dual-SIM capabilities and a dual-core Snapdragon processor with 512MB of RAM.

This handset is expected to run a forked version of Android, similar to the what Amazon does with their Kindle Fire lineup. That means the Nokia X will not offer access to Google Play or other Google-specific services. Instead it will promote Microsoft's services through a custom store.

Nokia Facebook page mysteriously goes green

Do you think the green Nokia Facebook page is an indicator for the upcoming Nokia X ? Some even think the green color may indicate an Xbox Phone, since Xbox also has a green logo. Let us know what you think in the comments section below
