Twitter announces Android alpha program

Following in the footsteps of a successful beta program, the folks at Twitter have also launched an alpha program for their Android application. According to Twitter the Alpha Program will include earlier iterations of experiments, and will also give users an opportunity to provide direct feedback and collaborate with the developers via a forum, in order to take a more active role in testing out bugs.

Unfortunately the alpha program is not open to everyone and you will have to apply and hope you are selected.

It is important to note that alpha builds are early experimental stages of the apps development, ahead of the beta version. It is likely that these builds will be unstable and users are advised not to use these apps for day to day use.

If you're interested in joining the Android Alpha Program, please request to join by using the following link
Twitter claims that due to limited space, requests will be handled on a first come first serve basis and that those who already belong to the Android Experiment Program will get first preference. Once you have requested an invite, you will receive an email from the developer team in a couple of days if you are selected.
