Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the HTC One max are massive phablets which compete in the same phablet space with high end specifications under their hood. While the aluminum unibody of the One max wins points for design it feels big in the hand, while the Note 3 tends to be even narrower and thinner than even the original Note, and more comfortable in the hand.
The Galaxy Note 3 also has the advantage of the S Pen and its accompanying software, while the One max is better for media consumption with its front facing dual stereo speakers.
