Samsung to get three month exclusivity on BBM, starting this Friday

Samsung Nigeria has an exciting tweet regarding BBM for Android.  The tweet states that the BlackBerry messaging service will be launched this Friday. Unfortunately the excitement is limited to Samsung users as the service will be exclusive to Samsung branded devices for the next three months.

BlackBerry sent out media invitations to a special event for this Friday in certain regions, and this Tweet could very well be related.

Earlier today we reported that the BBM APK for Android had leaked, although it wouldn't allow use unless you had already been a member in the BBM beta program. It is interesting that iOS and Android users are installed in using the BBM messenger even though they prefer using their respective platforms over a BlackBerry 10 device.  Eventually, Android and iOS users will be able to have all of the social messaging features that BlackBerry owners enjoy.

Considering BlackBerry's recent plans to spin off BBM as a separate company, we are curious to see if the service will be purchased by one of the big Android manufacturer's like Samsung.
