HTC One international variant gets pre-release Android 4.3 firmware

A pre-release version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 has leaked out for the international variant of the HTC One. The software was leaked by a known custom ROM developer, who also promised to release the untouched original firmware file on August 28th at 10 AM GMT. The currently released version is based on the 3.09.401.1 firmware which does have some new features and improvements to offer.

Among the new features is the ability to use your own music in the background of the video highlight reel. Sense will make use of the beat of the music to change the pictures. This feature is already available on the HTC One mini and it will be making its way to its larger sibling with the upcoming update. Other changes include a new Task Manager app and new shortcuts to the data usage screen.

Keep in mind that this is a pre-release build and all things may not work as well as they should at this point. There is speculation that some new capabilities are coming to BlinkFeed, but we will have to wait for HTC to officially begin their rollout to know for sure.

However if you are eager to try out this pre-release version of Android 4.3 on your HTC One, you can do so by following the source link below.
