[Android app] Google Translate updated with new languages


Google Translate for Android has updated and is expanding the number of supported languages which now include Afrikaans, Greek, Hebrew and Serbian. Additionally handwriting recognition can now translate Hindi and Thai.

Google Translate for Android allows users to use their device camera to capture text and translate it. Currently, the Google Translate for Android supports translating over 70 languages and includes the following features:

  • Directly translate speech, handwriting and photographed texts. 
  • Hear translations said out loud and a dictionary setting lets you translate a single word. 
  • A single phrase that you might need to repeat often can be saved for future use.
