Even though the company hasn't admitted to it, Nokia has clearly been working on a new tablet. The device is expected to be unveiled as early as next month and some information regarding its specs and other details have leaked out. According to the information the Nokia tablet will launch in mid-to-late October with Windows RT 8.1 on-board. With Microsoft expected to launch their latest version of Windows on October 17, the date seems plausible.
Rumors suggest that the Nokia tablet will feature a 10.1 inch touch display with a full (1080p) HD resolution. It will feature 5-point multitouch and have wide viewing angles. Its a little surprising why Nokia chose to have 5 point multitouch when most modern devices feature 10-point multitouch, but we assume this could be due to some patent issues.
The tablet is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.15 GHz and have 32GB of storage on board. There is no news on the amount of memory the device will have but we expect there to be at least 2GB - 3GB of RAM.
The tablet is expected to feature a detachable keyboard/stand which will feature a battery for extended usage similar to the Asus Transformer series. The device is also expected to have full USB ports with USB 3.0 support, microHDMI and wireless N compatibility. The tablet is also expected to be made available in various colors made famous my Nokia's Lumias.
