Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 officially announced with Intel inside


Asus maybe stealing the show at Computex with great announcements like the Transformer Book Trio, but Samsung is not ready to let the limelight shift away from its own lineup. The company has announced a 10 inch and an 8 inch variant of its Galaxy Tab which is powered by Intel Atom CloverTrail+ processors.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 which is the smaller of the two features an 8.0 inch touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture, a secondary 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM.

The tablet comes in a portable form factor with a slim 7.4 mm waist and a minimum bezel. A 4450 mAh battery takes care of powering the device and you can choose between 16GB or 32GB of internal storage with the option of updating the storage through microSD.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz interface running on top. You also get a series of exclusive apps and content from Samsung to add value to your experience.

Pricing of the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 wasn't revealed but the tablet is expected to arrive in markets this month.
