The Vine for Android app has been updated to version 1.1.0 and brings several new features and improvements to match its Vine for iOS counterpart. It isn't surprising that the Vine developers have decided to speed up their development in the wake of Instagrams video update.
You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:
The Vine for Android version 1.1.0 update has the following new features and improvements:
- The ability of searching for users or hashtags, which should make it easier to find people you want to get in touch with.
- The ability to share your Vine videos to Facebook, which gives the app a better opportunity to compete with Instagram.
- Improvements to capture speed, quality, and audio/video synchronization
- Clear cache option available in Settings
- Other bug fixes and UI improvements
The one feature the app is still missing is the ability to capture video from your device's front camera on both its iOS and Android versions. Vine has still more work to do in their catch up game with Instagram and we will hopefully see these improvements in the weeks ahead.
