Foursquare for Windows Phone has been updated to version 3.0.27.0 which brings an updated interface amoung other features and improvements. The redesign of the app is attributed to help from Microsoft and Nokia.
You can download the update directly on your device through the Windows Phone Store or by using the link which follows:
Press the Search button on your Windows Phone, tap Vision and then scan the following barcode by pointing your device camera toward it
Nokia's involvement with the update has seen the app optimised for Nokia Lumia handsets and it will even come preloaded on certain devices. The Foursquare team have even stated that select Lumia phones will "integrate Foursquare data into their augmented reality experience".
Other improvements include lockscreen notifications, voice search and the ability to pin people or places to the home screen.
The update is currently only available for Windows Phone 8, but the Foursquare team promises to update to Windows Phone 7 version with "similar" features.
