You can download the app directly on your Windows Phone through the Windows Phone Store or by using the link which follows:
PressReader for Windows Phone has the following features
- Set up automated subscriptions to your favorite titles
- Flip pages like you're reading real publications
- Pan, zoom or rotate pages, articles and photos and view in stunning clarity
- Open full articles in easy-to-read text view
- Share articles by email, Twitter and Facebook
- Sit back and listen to publications using on-demand audio
- Search online across titles and select titles you wish to download
- Authorize PressReader as part of your PressDisplay.com subscription
Unlike with the other versions of the app we tried out, the Windows Phone version doesn’t automatically load 7 free issues. Instead you have the option of selecting and download the magazines and newspapers you want from the store. Once they are downloaded they will appear under the ‘My Library’ section.
Additional titles can be purchased individually for $0.99 per issue, or downloaded in conjunction with a paid subscription on PressDisplay.com. If you already have a subscription you can sign into your PressDisplay account, by swiping to the right until you access Settings, clicking Account and selecting Authorize account.
One issue we did notice with the app was that despite downloading the New York times under the same account on iOS, Android and Windows it didn’t show up under My Library on Windows Phone. In fact the pre-downloaded content doesn’t automatically appear on any of the other devices.
PressReader is available for:
- iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Android
- Windows (Windows Phone | Windows 8/RT)
- BlackBerry
