Motorola has announced the upcoming Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update for the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX. The update will carry version 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US and include all the improvements and enhancements Android 4.1.2 has to offer. This includes features like Google Now, Project Butter, voice search, and expandable notifications.

Make sure that your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to your Wi-Fi connected. When the update is available for your device you will receive a notification of its availability. Once you receive the notification
- Select "Download".
- After the software is downloaded, select "Install now".
- After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
