Google Nexus 4 factory image available on the Google developer site again

Nexus devices like the Google Nexus 4 have several advantages. One of these perks of owning these devices is that you will be among the first in line to receive the latest software updates. Additionally Google provides factory images for the Nexus users so that they can easily return their phones or tablets back to an out of box, factory state if the need arises.

Strangely the Nexus 4 factory images disappeared shortly after being released, but they have now reappeared on the Google Developer website.

The Factory images are especially useful for users who regularly root and install custom ROMs or custom kernels on their Nexus devices. In order to return to stock, you will need a working copy of fastboot installed along with working drivers (Windows).

Once you are ready you will have to plugin your device, extract the factory image files and input the appropriate fastboot commands through the command prompt (terminal) and flash the image file to your device.

You can download the Nexus 4 JOP40D factory image from Google Developers to get started. Now all we need are the official Nexus 4 binaries and full AOSP support.
