If you live in the U.S. you would be lucky enough to already have access to the LG Optimus G. However this device has still not been released around the rest of the world until now. LG has announced that they are starting sales of the Optimus G in other countries starting with Singapore late this month, followed by other countries soon after.
The device will have the same specifications across all countries, with LTE in the regions which support it. The only difference is that the international version will have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, compared to the variant which was released in the U.S. with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Optimus G which inspired LG’s design of the Google Nexus 4 features a 4.7 inch display, 32GB of onboard storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
Hopefully given that the similarities of the Nexus 4 and the Optimus G, we hope that LG will be quick with releasing Android updates to the device.
